Austin and its surrounding areas have some of the most stunning and unique venues! From Italian style villas to vineyards and modern looking barns. Here you will find links and photos to my 5 favorite venues:
I had to start with our own wedding venue. This stunning venue, located near Jonestown (30 min from Downtown Austin), not only makes you feel like you just walked into an Italian villa, but also has the most gorgeous Hill Country views. What I love about our venue is all the space you get! Plus having the indoor/outdoor options for all parts of the wedding day is a great thing. Ceremonies can be outdoors in the main patio overlooking the Hill Country or in the Chapel if you would rather do an indoor ceremony. Dinner can take place in the indoor dinning area or it can be a nice under the stars dinner. Plus the venue is so beautiful on its own, that you don’t have to worry about a lot of decor. I will for sure share more about this place when I write about all vendor details for my wedding.
This was a close runner-up when we were looking at venues! It is another venue that offers so many different options and includes so much indoor and outdoor space. From the stunning mansion to the glass wall ballroom surrounded by vines, this venue will not disappoint. They also do picnic pizza nights with live music; I highly recommend going! It’s a great way to get to see the place.
If you are looking for a stunning background while you say your “I do’s”, this is your place. Both the gazebo and the arbor ceremony locations offer beautiful views of the Hill Country and lake. The only difference between the two is space and guest number. Another great thing about this venue is they do their own catering and are a hotel as well. This makes it easy for guests who come from out of town.
This venue, or I should say venues, are in Dripping Springs (just outside of Austin.) This one place offers several venue options, like a chapel and a vineyard. I attended one of their open houses, and I can tell you that their venues are beautiful and their food is delicious. They also have a number of guest rooms and cabins for guests to stay at.
This place is also very special for me. This is the venue Alex rented for the day he proposed! And let me tell you, even in the rain this place is truly beautiful. Laguna Gloria is for couples who are looking for a smaller size wedding. The villa has the very famous green room and a stunning view to the gardens and lake. My absolute favorite part are the two tall trees which remind me of Italy ( yup I do love Italy). And if not for the wedding, this venue is the perfect place to take engagement photos!
Also enjoy some of our proposal photos taken by my talented photographer friend Lauren Franco at the end of the slideshow!
